Looking for answers to ongoing symptoms

Posted by kellie4 @kellie4, 3 days ago

I have been experiencing instability on my feet, pressure in the back of my head by my neck, foggy brain, mood swings, one seizure, and sleepiness among other symptoms for many months. Often I feel like I have the flu. I had an MRI, but it did not indicate anything of concern. I’ve had heart tests as well. Every day is a struggle. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I need to add that my right leg is generally pretty numb and in addition to feeling like I have low-grade fevers I experience shortness of breath. I am growing so weary of not feeling well and waiting for tests that never show the cause of so many symptoms.

@kellie4 you have what I’ve got…you feel like crap, tests are normal, so you run from doctor to doctor for an answer.

Sounds like an autoimmune disorder, and maybe a neurological disorder. Of course, I’m not a doctor. However, that’s what I am dealing with.

Numbness may be neuropathy. Fibromyalgia can cause all sorts of issues.

I see a Neurologist and a Rheumatologist for those issues.

Have a D-Dimmer Test to check the clotting status of legs. Straight forward just a blood draw

Hi Kelly,
I’m so sorry you’re going through this!
I am also experiencing some instability on my feet. I have a burning pressure in the back of my head and throughout! I have brain fog and all kinds of other symptoms. I have been more recently diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy and I have Hashimoto’s.
I’ve been to see countless doctors and some have helped and others cannot!
All that to say that you’re not alone. I hope and pray you’re able to get some answers and some relief!
Don’t lose hope!

Two years of similar symptoms except pressure in front half of my head with extreme dizziness. Lots of tests with no results. Now I am paying closer attention to balance issues with changes in altitude, weather- barometric pressure and my sugar levels.
What is the most frustrating is experiencing these types of symptoms with no real answers from the doctors.

Something isn’t right, It has been my experience, that when it comes to neurological problems, it can take years, with subtle symptoms, before a diagnosis is made, by a neurologist. Oftentimes, in neurology, there isn’t one definitive test that tells the physician’s exactly what the diagnosis could be, or is! Have patience! I have been seeing a neurologist for over 50 years now, for four separate neurological issues.

Are you doing daily experiences to improve balance?

REPLY

Yes I do side to side head bob, participate in exercises to coordinate opposite side limb coordination and just began two minutes head stand.
Still having difficulty coordinating my right side steps.
