Long term feeding tube

I am a mid 30’s male who has had a g-tube nearly 4 years. At my most recent exchange they asked if I wanted to try the exchange without anesthesia . Because of the fact that I was risking not walking up

@kingkol13 Having a g-tube for 4 years, I imagine you have experienced several concerns. How often is the exchange done for you? Have you usually had anesthesia, and what made them ask about doing it with no anesthesia? If things have changed for you since the last exchange, what is your doctor telling you is the best course of action?
