2-Years post hemicolectomy: Anyone have bowel urgency when lifting?
I’ve have had a r hemicolectomy due to cancer 2 years ago. Ever since the surgery , whenever I lift or carry anything , no matter how small or how big the items are, I immediately have to have a bowel movement. Does anyone else have this happen to them?

@dw54rn, that is disconcerting. I wonder if there is an underlying problem caused by surgery to the muscles of the anus, rectum or pelvic floor that control the holding and passing of stool.
Have you ever had a specialist examine the area around the anus to look for reflexes of the anal muscles and look for signs of irregular tissues? Or had tests for rectal and anal function?
