Anyone used Letrozole for Leomyosarcoma?
I have metastatic LMS originated in my IVC and metastasized to my lungs, bones, pancreas with tumors on my spine & pelvic bone
I am currently taking Gemzar chemo ever other week and struggling with constant side effects. A friend of mine is using letrozole and it is working well for her. Will discuss this with my oncologist, but wanted to open it up to the community..

I believe @gtreece and @cjacobs99 have experience with letrozole for uterine leiomyosarcoma. @mir123 may also have some experience to share.
@jmg1, did you have a chance to talk with your oncologist if letrozole might be right for you?
I spoke to my oncologist, and she said it was not a drug that she would Not describe this drug for me because it doesn’t. I do not fit the criteria at least my tumor don’t 🙂

1 ReactionI have leiomyosarcoma originating from my IVC as well I had a liver resection due to 3 tumors. Do you get tested from Signatera? My surgeon recommended it, tests your blood for your tumors DNA. 🧬 Unfortunately mine is going up, I will be starting Pazopanib whenever my insurance decides to accept it. How is this other medication going?

We are treating the sarcoma in my leg and groin area with Doxil. I’m scheduled for a total of six treatments, I’m taking number three today. I go back to Mayo next week for CT and PT scans. Hopefully we see positive results from the Doxil.
