Curious to hear about side effects of Letrozole you experience

I’m curious to hear about any side effects of Letrozole that aren’t the normal joint/muscle aches and hot flashes.

If you looked them up, there are a number of them. Personally, I have been on it for 2.5 years and I cannot name one that really affects me. Yet, I am not the average. Others have the ones you wrote. If you have had a bone density test, that is where i need to keep looking. I was just talking with my dentist today as i see my oncologist on Nov 7th. There is a shot my oncologist was scheduling me for even though she was just assigned to me. I had a bone marrow transplant in April, so that was a no go per my hematologist! We shall see Nov 7th. My last bone density in 2023 had me at the low end of osteopenia.

There are three AI's and more choices. Fatigue is real. Glad you found something carrot47.

Is there a particular side effect you have experienced and re concerned about?

I find "fatigue" to be an understatement. I have extreme difficulty staying awake in the morning to eat my breakfast. Eventually. I give in and take a 2.5 hour nap. At night, I fall asleep using the toilet. My oncologist's response amounted to "pffft!"

I’m feeling like I could start my period. Lower back aches, slight cramping and from what I’ve read it very well could be the Letrozole.

This does sound noteworthy--maybe make an appointment to discuss with oncologist?

I think when we have bad side effects it is time to tell the doctor if you have an online portal or call and get them a message.

I am in Lupron and Letrozole so I don't know which one of them is given me hard time to pass the stool. It might the lack of estrogen. Yes, I did a colonoscopy and yes I seen a GI doctor but they haven't find anything and I don't think is constipation either. It's like the muscle either weakened do to lack of estrogen or something got messed up there because of these medications. That's the only big concern I have and the fact that my hips all the way down to my foot on one side hurts sometimes. I feel like I need to exercise every single day to make it better.
