Leg lymphedema post radical prostatectomy

Posted by maboyle369 @maboyle369, 4 days ago

Dear Support community -

I had a radical prostatectomy 4 months ago. As a result of lymph node dissection, I can’t walk for more than 15 min without my leg going numb and now I have significant swelling in my lower leg and foot. And I used to be a very active person before the surgery.

CT scan showed lymphedema.
Did any of you have this condition and what treatment proved successful for you?
Thank you very much in advance for helping me to get my life back.

I am very familiar with lymphedema. I work for a company who specializes in its treatment. I would suggest consulting with a vascular surgeon and a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and get on a pneumatic compression pump in your home for treatment.
