What alternatives do I have with excruciating pain in my legs after the surgery ? I can’t stand longer then 10-15 minutes and do use a walker.

How far out are you from surgery? If it was recent, your surgeon may be willing to give you pain meds

How long ago did you have surgery and did you have pain in your legs before surgery? What symptoms did you have before surgery? What has your surgeon said about your pain and what medications are you taking? Do you have help at home?

I had the surgery in Feb. 2025. My symptoms were numbness bilateral legs and feet with excruciating pain. I now have the same pain and see my surgeon this month. I have never ask for pain medication due to the stigma of opioids but I’m going to talk to him when I go back.

I have legs pain after the surgery and can’t stand longer than 15-20 minutes. I use a walker. Nervous in my left leg was damaged and this leg doesn’t support me. My foot is still numb. The nerve pain is better now than after the surgery. I used to take Hydrocodone and Gabapentin, but now can survive without these medications.

I felt good approximately one month after surgery now having the pain as before. I’ve thought a SCS but my family doctor doesn’t advise it. I stand for 10 minutes and have to sit due to numbness and pain in bilateral legs.
