Knee Replacement Anomaly
I’m a BNA in right leg. I had a TKR surgery 04.01.24 There was little to No medical history for a BNA getting a TNR … anyway surgery went well & I was kept in Hospital overnight & following morning a Physical Therapy had me use my Prosthetic Leg to walk 100 steps with New Knee.
10 days later I started with 3 Bone Blisters as seen in attached photos. This wound has never stopped its healing progression, it’s just been EXTREMELY SLOW! It seems that NO ONE knows what to tell me!!! Due to the fact that there is NO MEDICAL HISTORY for a TKR for a BKA! I think there’s been like 3 maybe 4 including mine in past 5+ years. It’s CRAZY. I’m 65 years old & have Factor V Liden with a Protein “S” Deficiency . History of DVT’s & numerous Venous ablation treatments. This same leg Amputation surgery healed & closed FAST! I’ve had no circulation issues in this area.
I had a Hip Replacement on the same side that I as successful & healed normally.
I’ve done meticulous wound care for this area from Day 1. The Medihoney Infused topical dressings have worked best. I change it every 2 - to 4 days.
I’d really like to walk with my prosthetic leg sometime before I take the “Dirt-Nap”!
The new knee has had ZERO PHYSICAL THERAPY!!! It feels great, but I’m Chomping at the Bit to start walking… if there is ANYONE WHO HAS ANY MEDICAL HISTORY FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS PLEASE PLEASE Contact me!
Respectfully,
Lee
I’m chomping
