Just wanted to share : ))) a link for kegel exercises application.

My husband got this link from a nurse (in preparation for surgery) and he downloaded it today. It is free for Apple Phone and only $8 to have connection with Apple Watch. He tried it this afternoon and he said it is very neat application and he found it "fun", so I asked him for the link that I can post here.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/xiib-kegel-exercises-for-men/id998141368
He is doing a lot of other exercise that we found in books, on the net and here on this forum, but I guess it could never be too many Kegel exercise ; ).

Hope it will help somebody < 3

When I started trying to do Kegels, I bought a device.
https://www.kgoal.com/products/kgoal-boost-kegel-trainer-for-men
It might be good for some, but my stupid uncoordinated ass couldn't work it.
The device works fine - I just couldn't move my concrete pelvic floor.
200 bucks & it's sitting in a drawer, never to be used again.
Oh well. I tried.
Might be an option for some, though.

AUS is doing pretty good, thanks.
It's a one-handed operation & can I even pee at a urinal as normal.

Bladder hasn't calmed down much, though.
Urgency is still annoying.
Back to the surgeon on the 19th, so I'll ask.
I'm sure I had some pills to fix that a while ago.
But overall... pretty happy with the AUS, now.
Stress incontinence is not there at all & I've gone from 7 pads a day to zero.

How long did you wait before the AUS? I am in my 8th month of dealing with incontinence and pads. I think I was up to 4or 5 pads a day but now down to 1 or 2, depending on my activity. I’ve done pelvic muscle therapy for 3 months and continue to do exercises at home. I don’t know how much time I should give to the recovery process before doing something else. I am on medication but don’t know if it helps or not. Thanks!

The standard time is 12 months post-prostatectomy, to give it time to resolve on it's own - with or without pelvic floor exercises.
I had my AUS done after 9 months.

2 surgeries to the same region of the body within 9 months is pretty tough on a guy, but worth it.
I was sent to a physio about 3 months before my first surgery, in the hope of teaching me Kegels.
6 months of one-on-one training - with biofeedback & ultrasound... I just didn't get it.
By that stage, I was going through about 7 pads a day.
It was tough.

I kept a spreadsheet of pad weights dry & wet, how long since I last changed a pad & how much urine was lost each time through uncontrollable incontinence.
My surgeon was horrified.
So I was put on 3 separate waiting lists, to rush me through.
Totally worth it.

So don't hold back on telling your urologist how miserable this is every day.
A spreadsheet is good to print out, too. They love numbers & it backs you up on how bad this is.

Is the surgery evasive?

We have prostate cancer. Everything's invasive.

There are plenty of animations on how to *use* the thing, but no non-gross videos of the actual surgery.

One incision in the perineum. Pull out a bit of the urethra, to measure for the correct cuff size.
Another incision in the lower abdomen to place the bulb balloon thing. Then they take the actual pump, put it in the same incision & stuff it down until it's at the bottom of the scrotum. Looks like he's stuffing a turkey.

Sew it all up & a couple of weeks of bed rest.
6 weeks for swelling & bruising to go down, then it's activated.
It ain't pretty.
But neither is peeing myself all day.
