Keep Dave in mind today

Posted by mk52dk51 @mk52dk51, Nov 19 10:16am

My husband Dave is having exploratory, possible revision surgery today to fix a kink in the distal conduit. His was made with the colon back on April. Its been a tough 3 months of symptoms so we are hoping this brings relief and a resolution.
Thanks to all our supported on this platform.

The surgery did go as well as can be expected. They found a twist in the conduit that was straightened out s much as possible given the delicate tissue of the colon. They took out a piece of conduit that had a right alignment to create a better flow into the stomach. And they could see the candy cane pocket proximally. That would be dealt with after he recovers. Hopefully he'll be able to tolerate an esophagram with contrast next week while hes still I'm the hospital. That will help determine the next step.
He looks pretty good today. He had an epidural block that helped with pain. He has a high tolerance anyway.
Thx so much for asking.
Is there a way you can share this with the group?
Thx
Meg
