Just finished Chemo - when good for hip replacement?

Another query here about where to go for hip replacement prompted this query as my hub is in dire need of hip replacement. We have a great surgeon and planned the procedure before the PCa recurred, or woke up, however you view it (details in profile). He just finished round #6 of Carboplatin added to Docetaxel last week and is getting Firmagon shots monthly and taking Nubeqa. Who decides the timing of surgery and how? Surgeon? Medical GU Onc? Primary? Is there a post chemo window to get blood counts back or for recovery purposes? Reading the earlier thread, I am curious how long after PCa treatment for surgery and any experiences. It will be anterior as surgeon here is leader in that technique. Thanks!

I would think the Med GU oncologist is the most qualified to make this judgement. He/she is more well versed on blood counts and various other parameters after chemo than anyone else. Also, pretty sure the orthopedic surgeon is going to require a surgical clearance after all your man has been through.
