Itchy breasts 2 years after lumpectomy and radiation

Posted by kamra @kamra, 22 hours ago

18 months ago, I had bilateral stage 1 breast cancer and had radiation and lumpectomies. I'm on anastrozole. Recently my breasts have started itching and I have to take my bra off at 5 pm because it starts to get uncomfortable. I've had a few small scaly spots on my hand, leg and one on my breast (all on the same side) that all developed within days of each other. They last for a few weeks and then mostly fade away. The one on my breast is still a little scaly, though. Is this from the radiation? Does it sound familiar to anyone? Thank you.

It can be really difficult to determine what is causing a rash. Best thing, in my experience, is to see a dermatologist. Can you get an appointment? It could be eczema or contact dermatitis or any number of other things. A dermatologist can tell you what it is and hopefully give you a cream or something else to treat. If it was me, I'd go as soon as possible, because I hate itching! Hope you get the info you need.
