Is it wise to supplement Tagrisso with short Chain Fatty Acids?

I was diagnosed with stage 4 EGFR-NSCL 30 months ago. Multiple cells in both lungs. Also in one lymph node in the lung and in another in a shoulder. I have been taking daily Short Chain Fatty Acids, plus doing daily 20 minute sessions on a vibration plate as I read both help in treatment.
After about 18 month most cells disappeared bar one in left lung. It has not changed since then. Could it be benign? Also has anyone tried the SCFA idea?

Hello @warrego, This is an interesting question. I didn't find any info regarding the combination of Short Chain Fatty Acids and Tagrisso specifically. That doesn't mean that it's not beneficial. It's always hard to weed through what we're hearing that may be helpful and what actually is helpful. If you are lucky enough to have a dedicated oncology pharmacist, they may be able to dig into the question. I take a different targeted therapy for an ALK mutation. That medication insert specifically mentions taking it with dietary fat (different from the SCFA) for increased absorption of the medication.
Funny that you mention the vibration plate as my local YMCA just installed one. So, I was just starting to investigate. It's certainly a challenge to keep up on everything.
Many of us have potential residual tumors. I have a remaining hazy spot in one lung, which the radiologists believe could be scar tissue from my original primary tumor. It sounds like you've had excellent results from the Tagrisso. It's hard to know what your remaining mass is made up of but as long as it's stable, that's great!
