Is it true that pramipexole ER may decrease developing augmentation.

I am presently on pramipexole 1mg for RLS. I was told that switching to the ER form of pramipexole may delay the onset of augmentation. The ER form of this drug is only available in 150mg. Has anyone had any experience relating to this?
