Is it safe to take 100mg Viagra pill and inject 60 units Bimix ?
I experimented recently using both , probably should have consulted my Dr it after 15 months post surgery and no luck with everything, I had my first decent erection for almost an hour , couldn’t reach an orgasm since I still don’t have normal sensitivity yet but there’s hope , will ck with Dr before I try this again.

I am one yr post surgery, I’ve tried Trimix and Bimix only occasionally do I get an erection stiff enough for penetration it I have no sensitive feeling, thus no chance for an orgasm Am I expecting too much too soon ? I’m reluctant to continue injections it gives me or wife any pleasure. I’m not fond of antidepressants but feel I should consider it , often it doesn’t help , any suggestions what has helped anyone. I’m drinking more but trying to to give up alcohol, that might be a start.
Hummm...I don't know. However, if I were in your situation, I think I'd try titrating up from lower doses and determine if there is something at lower dose that might work.
In my situation I have only used Tri-mix in the past which is stronger than Bi-mix. I would think that 60 units of anything injected into the penile shaft would be an extremely uncomfortable quantity. Even if it worked, I don't think I'd be comfortable with that quantity. I get the sense you would' likely feel and do better injecting a lower quantity of the stronger tri-mix.
For comparison purposes:
- I needed three units of trimix before my prostate cancer diagnosis.
- After completing my PC radiation treatments I needed twelve units of tri-mix while I was on ADT. Even then 12 units was uncomfortable for me to use.
- I've been done with ADT for a little while and I've been successful in lowering my tri-mix dose to five units which feels comfortable again.
@kenk1962 I’ve tried the lower doses of Trimix and no results when I increase the dose it gives me a burning reaction so I’ve switched to Bimix not great either started at 20 units now 50-60 with poor results except one time when I also took a 100 mg of Viagra but tried it a second time time and poor results. Ready to quit for awhile too frustrating, 5 months since my last Lupron shot may my testosterone slowly increasing will help. Recent blood test showed my ALT and AST went from 20’s to 60’s wonder if radiation could cause this or the 2 drinks of alcohol each night ???
@graybeard46 I see and appreciate your candid remarks. It's clearly a difficult time and ADT is a substantial hinderance to so many things. And erectile health may be at the front of the line of problems.
I spoke to a urologist about my erectile difficulties (even 12 units of Tri-mix during ADT did not work well; functional yes, but clearly compromised). I politely argued with him about my suspicion that ADT caused my Tri-mix problems but he disagreed. Well, once I was off ADT and my testosterone returned, my Tri-mix started working fine again, even at the much lower dose.
ADT is so rough.
Hello to all of my fellow PC Patients. Personally speaking, I was expecting a better and more normal ability to get and keep strong enough erections for sexual intercourse after recovering from my RALP about 3 years ago.
TRIMIX is the only effective treatment for me. Even though I can get strong and normal nocturnal erection I am not able to manage strong erections on demand or rely upon how long they will last. I can usually manage about an 80% normal erection and on occasions, a normal erection on my own.
However, TRIMIX is always effective and available when my wife and I want to make love and I don’t have to worry about experiencing any anxiety about whether or not I will be able to get and maintain an adequate erection when desired.
Everybody is different and although doctors can be very helpful at times. There are decisions you as a patient need to make because you ultimately know and understand how your body works more than anybody else. Doctors can certainly advise you on any potential dangers due to mixing TRIMIX with pills or other erectile aids.
Thankfully, I’ve never had to experience the ADT treatments and or their undesirable side effects.
I was on TESTOSTERONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY almost 12 years before I was diagnosed with my Prostate Cancer. I discontinued the “TRT” for 6 months after my diagnosis and surgery. I felt absolutely horrible. Besides “Low T” I’ve been critically weakened and adversely affected with my overall general health from very serious cases of CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME and FIBROMYALGIA for 35 years.
I also experienced “CM,” CHIARI MALFORMATION simultaneously which together, they all contributed to a very debilitating neurological
condition which affected every aspect of my life and still does in a measurably debilitating manner.
For that reason alone, I would never select ADT unless my PC returned and I would have to consider Radiological treatments.
Without adequate research and far outdated, inaccurate information related to utilizing “TRT” following a Prostatectomy etc. I had little support for continuing my “TRT” which I require to barely maintain and provide me any kind of satisfying lifestyle physically, mentally or emotionally.
True, my overall health history and combinations of health challenges are much different than most PC Patients etc. I illustrate it only to support the necessity for any patient to ultimately make decisions he knows which will benefit him the most recovering from and or living with PC.
Like all responsible PC Patients, I constantly monitor my blood tests and other critical indicators to take whatever steps are necessary at any time to appropriately manage my overall health and wellbeing.
I am very grateful and thankful that TRIMIX is available to continue a healthy sex life with my wife at age 71.
Best wishes and good luck to all PC Patients.
Phil
Phil, happy for you, sounds like you’re more patient than I am , 15 months with no sex makes me feel like I’m not a married man with a beautiful wife but have a female roommate. At 79 I’ve been spoiled sexually during 40 yrs of marriage and hardly ever went a few days without it . I pray things change soon, the clock is ticking.
@graybeard46
My husband is 65 , in remission form stage 3 B Cell and basically not able to perform. He tried 100 mgs of Viagra no results. I told him alcohol is not good for him, but he does not listen. wishing you the best. Do you feel the Ed is due to the cancer treatments?
@yrobertsonmy ED is most definitely due to surgery and radiation. Prior to surgery I was able to enjoy sex 2-3 times a week despite being 79 and rarely needed a Viagra pill. Agree the alcohol probably not good but when under stress and occasionally depressed I needed a drink on most nights. Maybe your husband could try injections with Trimix or Bimix but I’m not having much success with that either, when I do get an occasional good erection I can’t feel anything or I would get an implant asap maybe he could look into that ? Good luck
