Is it normal for insurance to deny chemo radiation?
I have completed folfox x8 regimen October 20.
Scheduled for chemo radiation to start November 11.
Insurance declined for " more information needed"
It is now November 18 and still no approval.
Insurance is playing these games while I now feel additional mental anguish due to there delay.
Is the delay going to inhibit my treatment outcome?

Insurance is supposed to help, but they put up barriers, not easy. hang in there…maybe the doctor’s office can help push things along, as timing is an important factor in treatment. And patients don’t need hurdles…cancer is hard enough ! Best of luck !

2 ReactionsPersistence pays off, I called insurance again, respectfully yet firm. I put myself in there shoes and they in mine. Today I received my first chemo radiation treatment! Yay!
