Is dizziness normal with Lupron?

Am on lupron for 3 months so far. Is dizziness normal? How about numbness in fingers?

Been on ADT for 6 months now, had dizziness off and on, mainly when getting up from a seated position. Don’t have it now. I do have numbness in my fingers when sleeping, but this comes and goes. It seems the longer you are on ADT, the side effects diminish, but don’t go away completely. I have noticed that drinking any alcohol, even a glass of wine makes me feel bad the next morning, mainly fatigue. I workout with weights most days, this helps immensely!

Did he say anything about using statins for LDL issues? Both liver and Glucose are known issues with ADT.

Are you by any chance taking FlowMax? I was taking Metoprolol 25 mg to slow down my heart because Lupron increased my heart rate too much, 20 mg of Sildenafil for penile rehab, and FlowMax for burning and weak urination after radiation. The combination of these together lowered my blood pressure too much and I would have dizzy spells, especially when standing up quickly. Spacing out these meds throughout the day helped. If you're not taking any of these meds then just ignore this comment.

No, but I do use a statin and would Not go off of it unless my cardiologist told me to. So far so good.

On Lupron for 8 months. I did have occasional dizziness, but that side effect seems to have subsided. Numbness in my fingers and hands has been and continues to be somewhat common.

I use one too. Was curious if those that normally don't take one might benefit once LDL starts rising while on ADT. My doctor won't touch the conversation until a year in. I must admit I envy those of you that have a top tier medical network in your area.

I think they would almost have to prescribe a statin if levels got in the red zone.
My liver was fine on Crestor until the ADT, then the fun started…
Blood work next week (6 weeks off ADT) to see what’s what🤞

So even with Crestor levels ramped? Best of luck on your numbers.

No sorry, I think There is s mix up in what levels we’re talking about. My LDL was pretty good at the start of ADT but have not had it tested in 6 mos; it’s 3 liver enzymes that went pretty high but Sloan said they were still OK even though elevated by about 35%.
Oddly, they never tested my lipid or glucose levels; will inquire at the next test and see that they do so.
