Is Brachytherapy, Cyberknife, or Proton Beam available in Jacksonville
I am interested in pursuing either Brachytherapy, Cyberknife, or Proton Beam for my PC (intermediate/favorable). I can't determine if any or all three are available at the Jacksonville Mayo Clinic. If anyone can confirm or deny if the treatments are available in Jacksonville that would be great. Also any insights or experiences with any of the treatments mentioned would be appreciated.
Thanks

I can answer one of your questions. Proton Beam Radiation is not available at Mayo Jacksonville. They only have photon. Buidling a new cancer center that will have proton radiation and will open in 2026.
I am a patient at Mayo Jacksonville since 2005.
I do not have experience or knowledge about Brachytherapy or Cyberknife so cannot comment if avaiable at May Jacksonville.
My diagnosis of prostate cancer was done at Mayo Jacksonville. They did the MRI/contrast, Biopsies with MRI/Fusion, bone scan, Decipher test. I got a second opinion at UFHPTI who confirmed diagnosis but wanted another test done called PSMA. Since Jacksonville did not offer proton radiation just photon I had my radiation treatments done at UFHPTI.
Check out UF Health Proton Therapy Institute in Jacksonville. This is where I had my Proton treatments in early 2023. It's a wonderful facility and staff! I also considered Mayo, but they will not have Proton for a few more years.

I believe that Cyberknife is a Proton machine, but since I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, I could be wrong. Sorry for my attempt at humor.
Not an expert either, but I believe CyberKnife is an image-guided EBRT machine that uses traditional photon radiation (True Beam is another similar type of equipment).
