Is anyone concerned inhalers for asthma interfering with Evenity
I just completed 1 year Evenity injections. Im concerned if my inhalers intervened with bone progress and all the calcium I'm taking will progress aorta calcification in my heart?

I’ve read that a vitamin K and D supplement helps alleviate this and send most of the calcium to your bones rather than your arteries…there are some posts about it somewhere

2 Reactions@osteopatient2026 Thank you, you have given me hope. I am learning from you patients more than from my endocrine specialist. I am learning to ask questions, unfortunately my specialist has only been available at consultation and after first dexcan. In 2 weeks I will have my second dexcan and will meet with her regarding my results and I'm supposed to start Prolia this day. Thank you again.

Oh that’s okay. I am new at this too. My tscore ar the spine was -4.8. What was yours?
I imagine once people get going with some treatment plan they don’t need to frequent this forum. I was just trying to do what I could to help lift people as I was when I first came here a few weeks ago.

Also why are you starting on Prolia? That was suggested to me as well.
Remember I’m no doctor. These are just the results of my research. Always consult with a professional…a doctor. Ultimately you tr6 to make an educated plan with the help of wha5 you find. There are lots of well meaning people but they can be absolutely wrong. Me included. Things can change rapidly. What was standard just a few years ago is already changing.

1 ReactionI would suggest talking to a pharmacist. Your pulmonologist may not be familiar with Evenity and your Endocrinologist not versant with asthma.

1 ReactionI’m unsure whether it might affect the drug's effectiveness, but I've read that long-term use of inhaled corticosteroids could lead to osteoporosis. It almost seems like they could be at odds with each other.
@maymore
If the medication for asthma is albuterol, that is not a steroid.
