Anyone else have intraoperative radiation (IORT)? How is it for you?

I had early stage breast cancer and IORT. Three years on tamoxifen, no major problems so far. Anyone else have IORT and how is it going for you?

@ajcd777, allow me to bring in fellow members who have experience with intraoperative radiation (IORT). @brianphilip and @mlk had IORT with breast cancer. And @caryns @annebauer19 have experience with IORT and pancreatic cancer.

AJCD, did you have pre-surgical tamoxifen and now you are preparing for surgery and intraoperative radiation?

Hello. I had a lumpectomy and IORT at at the same time 3 years ago. It was targeted to just the tumor bed. I have had a heart attack in past and felt IORT the best chose for me to avoid greater radiation exposure. It was still part of a trial. And my tumor was just small enough to be eligible for IORT. I’ve been happy with the results so far, just wondering about other peoples experience with IORT.
