Inguinal hernia repair hematoma post op

I had a large inguinal hernia repair and the day after apparently had a large bleed down into the space where the hernia was previously, down into the scrotum, that’s called a hematoma. Severely painful. In the initial stages I believe it could have been drained but it’s now a very large hard mass. Still painful. What’s the possible actions and outcome of this?
