I’m so mentally exhausted why can’t anyone diagnose me
I’m only 24 :(.
I’ve been “sick” since 2020. Yet I’ve been to countless drs in this span of time. So many different Medicines, Testing, imaging and it all is clear there’s nothing there. Come back and see us in 3 months they say. It all started with a dry cough and night sweats. Now I’ve developed so many other symptoms like Severe Fatigue to the point I’m falling asleep for hours during the day and I have really dark under eyes, I still get chest pain and cough if I inhale too deeply, my night sweats have gotten even more drenching, chronic pain/numbing/pins and needles on my entire right side, I can’t even walk right without moving my right leg weird, I’m having so many falls every single day, I’m covered in bruises constantly from it, my right hip constantly pinches, my right hand randomly drops stuff I can’t write well without it hurting, my elbow gets stuck in place, sometimes I get these moments of numbing on my right cheek/mouth. The last few months I’ve become extremely emotional or quick to aggressive. I feel like I can’t control myself. My vision in my right eyes blurry sometimes even with contacts/glasses. I get moments of confusion and can’t remember what I was going to say or I say the wrong words. I get fevers off and on. I get sick bad when I catch something it takes me 1-2 weeks or more to get better. I get chronic severe migraines that medicine never touches. I feel like I can’t catch my breath even the slightest movement leaves me breathless. I loose my vision, hearing sometimes and I feel like I’ll pass out. I’m 24 and I can’t even run anymore. Not to mention the chronic stuffed up nose I’ve developed since February. Not to mention the countless GI issues I have yet no diagnosis there too. I just want to be able to enjoy life and play with my son outside.

Are you hyper flexible in any way, and has your thyroid function been tested along with an autoimmune test for Thyroid Peroxidase antibody levels ?
Your symptoms look a lot like mine.
I hope the Mayo Clinic can help you. Isn't that why we are here.? Can you call them?
Have you had an mri, blood yesterday, etc.?
I have brochiectis with two infections. I went to about 5 pulmonologists who didnt help till I found on finally, who saved me. I dont have all those systems that are so serious. I had to advocate constantly over much time, but I hope you have insurance and get help NOW! Get second and third opinions. Mayo clinic is a good place to start.
Have you had covid? Some of what you describe sounds like Long Covid, which usually comes on a couple of months after having covid, even if the covid symptoms are mild. I would seek out help at the nearest university medical center. It may be good to start out with a rheumatologist. I would encourage you to use a cane to walk, even if that is embarrassing. Falling can lead to head injuries that can sometimes be fatal, as well as broken hips, even in the young. Best wishes and keep seeking help until you get it.
@msmith16 You’re situation sounds so difficult and you’re so young. Even so, Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! I’m sure the members will come to your aid with information and suggestions. One member asked if you had been to a university hospital. That and a comprehensive medical center would be great places to try. I went to a university hospital as a last resort. The doctor’s there knew exactly what I had and arranged for me to start treatment that night. That was after 1.5 years of going to the ER and begging for tests and an MRI. I knew I needed an MRI because my symptoms were everywhere. I’m getting better, but slowly.
Please call a medical center or university hospital.
Do you have someone who helps you at home and with your child?
I went through the same not being diagnosed with local doctors. When I was seen by doctors at Mayo Clinic it was a 110% turn around! Immediate detailed diagnosis, complete detailed communication with my wife and I and between the departments at Mayo. Initially we went through a week of testing to get the complete diagnosis, we came away with a feeling and confidence we were “in the right place, with the right Team, at the right time”!!
I am coming up on 18 months post Lung Transplant due to IPF, and the Team at Mayo made this journey that could have been negative and frightening as positive and comfortable for us as we could have only dreamed of. What an amazing Team, I hope you are in their care, if so - you are in the best of hands!!!

Did you fell down somewhere? Any shots you had? What other nations you've been there?
I wish the best for you,

It does sound like some of the symptoms of Long COVID. Long COVID mimics many other autoimmune diseases. I was tested for everything...Lupus, RA, Sjogren's, Lyme disease, HIV and on and on. I do not have some of the symptoms you have, but I have had many and they come and go. Hang in there.
Sounds like me. I have intracranial hypertension and fibromyalgia among other things. Have you had a dilated eye exam by an Opthamologist? Important since you mentioned eyes.
I'm new at this site, but I too, have a long term illness (sickness?) that has not been diagnosed by the multiply doctors that I've seen over the last five years. All my tests come back normal so they tell me there is nothing they can do for me. Searching online all of my symptoms seem to point to chronic fatigue. Does anyone know of a treatment or place I can go for answers to my condition? Any help will be appreciated.
