What alerts you to the blockage, pain? Reduced material to the ostomy bag?

cramping, no output for several hours

Can you target any specific food that would have caused the blockage?

My husband cuts everything he eats very small and then chews it very well. He also drinks water with the meals. He has cut out any food that he feels does not digest well. A lot of adjustments because the body has less to digest with.

Chewing until liquified in my mouth helped me. If you can, just use your own saliva because it has enzymes to help break down foods. This was hard for me to do because normally I'd chew just enough to be able to swallow it. I was a food inhaler. Drinking lots of water throughout the day is also extremely beneficial.

I agree, Chew, Chew, Chew, and stay hydrated.
If you decide you would like some foods that are harder to digest just have a very little bit and remember to chew good. and drink water.
Take care

All extremely good advice. Fibrous fruit and vegetables should be eliminated from your diet. You're on the right path. I don't imagine that stomach tube is something you want to repeat 😂.

, thank you for advice, it is hard to live like this, always feeling nervous, any suggestions on how to cope, and live a life that doesnt seem to revolve around the fear of another blockage
