I had GBS 55 years ago. Can I have Botox injected in my neck?

I had GPS 55 years ago. I now have problems with the muscles in my neck. My neurologist wants to give me a Botox injection to help the muscles. Is it safe?

Please spell out abbreviations. Most ppl don’t know what GBS is.
