Hypersensitive esophagus

Posted by bjtobs @bjtobs, 12 hours ago

I have been diagnosed with hypersensitive esophagus. I've had this problem for about 9 months with no relief in sight. The pain starts in the center of my chest and also radiates to my right lung area when it gets really bad. No pain laying down, Pain starts only when standing and subsides when I sit and slightly recline. Anytime that I am up and just keeping busy nothing physical the pain starts. As soon as I recline in a chair it starts to subside. The longer I'm up the worse the pain and the longer to recover. During a recent 2 hour shopping trip the pain started in about 1 hour. Pain increased for the second hour and was really bad especially in my right lung area by the time I got home. It took over an hour for the pain to subside and another 2 hours for the pain to be completely gone. The G.I. doctor has prescribed several medications but so far nothing has helped. has anyone had this problem before ?
