Hymovis injections - any relation to heart attack?
I am an 82-year-old relatively healthy female. In February, I had fluid removed from very painful knee and received a methylprednisolone injection which provided amazing relief. My intention was to have a hyaluronon injection which had to be postponed until the following week because of the large fluid buildup. Feb. 14 I had the first hyaluronon injection and a second on Feb. 21. On Feb. 22, I had to be hospitalized with an instemi heart attack (first and only) and I am wondering if there might be any relationship between the heart problem and the injections. My cardiologist indicates there is no evidence that I actually had heart attack other than the elevated troponin when hospitalized on 2/22. Catherization did not show any blockage, echo was good. I am hoping to have more injections for knee pain if and when needed but am hesitant because of heart issue. Any thoughts on this will be deeply appreciated. Thank you very much.
