How's your day going?

Good or bad throw it out there how you are doing today. I'll start, lol, has been a mixed bag, I got firmagon shot on tuesday, that takes time to run it's course. Mostly has been good, always fighting the fatigue but that is the score, deal with shortness of breath since the beginning but most days I can accept that. All in all, not a bad day. Best to all.

Great, thanks! I'm on first trip to Europe since before my world turned upside-down with the pandemic and then my cancer diagnosis and spinal damage (I used to come over a few times/year for work).

I managed the overnight flight and my first full day here better than expected. I thought it might wipe me out and I'd have to spend half of every day (or more) just lying in bed, but I'm walking around a lot and we're having a nice time.

Thx for asking.
Nothing spectacular but that's spectacular in itself with PC and etc's.
Best part is 5-months after last Lupron shot and I think I"m getting my energy back. And I've lost a couple pounds. Still the hot flashes but I'm glad for any progress.
Wishing you same and better up-ticks in health.

Good for you, north! I'm leaving tomorrow for Europe. This will also be my first big trip.

My biggest fear is leaking and bathrooms. I bought some "Certainty Shields" just in case, and I've developed a plan of attack for when we arrive at a city that has few public restrooms.

Of course, I'm imagining the worst possible scenario: the plane is stuck on the runway, unable to take off, but we're not allowed to leave our seats. Do I A: pee my pants, or B: push the flight attendants out of the way and use the toilet and get arrested and booted off airlines for the rest of my life?

When I was young it took about 5 minutes to pack for a trip. But now, I've been packing just one backpack for weeks, adding to and checking off my long list.

I brought "briefs" with me, but didn't end up wearing one on the plane. Airplane air is very dry, and I didn't end up needing to stumble to the lavatory until near the end of the flight.

Last summer I don't think it would have been as easy — that's when the symptoms from my radiation cystitis were at their worst.

I always look forward to reading on this site, comforting and supportive. We may all be different but we connect with each other. My wife is the only one who knows what it's really like for me. So many people think because I get treatment, I'm cured. I smile and say thank you. On here you can actually discuss how you are doing. To this I say a big thank you to all for all the smiles and good thoughts I get from here. Best to all.

Today is a good day. My husband had his RARP on Wednesday and he is doing really good! No more OXY, he gets up often to walk, he is eating more, and is more himself. Only 4 more full days with the catheter; he can't wait for that to be removed. His surgeon said everything went really good in surgery and he couldn't be more pleased! The outcome was better than expected as far as nerve sparing and the attachment of his urethra to the bladder and especially removing all cancer. We are praying for a good pathology report. We shall see how things progress but for now we are rejoicing the surgery is behind us and he is now recovering. ❤️‍🩹

Today's been a great day for me. Started off with coffee, and a power yoga class with some good friends who supported me in my cancer journey. Celebrating three weeks since my last fraction 5/5 of TrueBeam STX treatment, and the fact my fatigue from radiation and Eligard seems to be diminishing. Have a great day people, and warrior on! Peace.

Today has been a good day for me. Every day I have the fatigue and shortness of breath, it is what it is. But then there are days like today when it just seems really good. I just feel upbeat, I guess it's a mindset, that is where the good feeling is coming from. You can't fool yourself into thinking it's good if it's not. I file a day like today away to remind myself when having a not so good day, that special days do happen. I want to keep saying, this site with so many special people has truly been a blessing for me. Best to all.
