How to fight nausea after segmental resection of colon?

I recently got diagnosed with colon cancer, had a tumor that was a little bigger than a baseball in my hepatic flexure. I got emergency surgery on 5/16/2025, and they removed the tumor+ 2 feet of my colon. I got discharged on 5/19/2025 from the hospital, since I had hit all the milestones needed(passing stool, tolerating diet, moving more). A couple hours after I got home, I got hit with the worst nausea, and started puking, which was excruciating due to all of my abdominal muscles being sliced through. Every time I wrenched I wailed in pain, and nothing I’ve tried has helped the nausea. I’ve got Zofran now, but that’s not seeming to offer much help. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced getting intense nausea/vomiting after being discharged, and what worked for you with helping the nausea?

I went through a resection to remove two feet of my large intestine due to damage done by chronic Diverticulitis. I also had severe nausea and vomiting.
When I came home, multiple bouts of Diarrhea started. I tested positive for C-Diff and went on Vancomycin. It stopped the nausea, vomiting and, eventually, the multiple trips to the bathroom. You'd just need a Stool Test to rule it out. Hope you get relief.

Talk to your doctor, mine prescribed Prochlorperazine when the Zofran was not working effectively.
