I have the opposite problem. I can bend 115° but can't straighten. I have worked diligently everyday and am still negative 11°. My PT said I should gain 1° each therapy session, but it is taking me a solid week to gain that 1°. I'm tired of the pain and tired of working so hard and gaining so little. I'm at my breaking point and don't want to exercise at all.

You can lay on your back...pull your foot as close to your butt that you can. It hurts but it stretches out that thigh and knee muscle. You can also lay on your side and pull it toward your bottom. Squats can be done with a chair or counter (just be careful not to fall), Self massage if you can press hard enough so that it hurts to release some of the fascia. Ask too about using a massage vibrator but don't do this without talking to PT or the Dr. If you are far enough out and they allow you a knee sleeve gives you more support and help with pain but it shouldn't' be tight and you should able to flex your knee and it shouldn't impede anything. I'm 11 months and wear my sleeve every day. I can do almost anything while wearing it and have no pain, soreness or stiffness. However if I don't wear it I get sore, stiff and hurt. I've discussed with surgeon and he has no clue which is frustrating. I think I still have swelling and can't take nsaids. Hoping it results soon.

So your flexion, the degree to which you can bend your knee is 82 degrees? That means you have to sit with your knee extended slightly? That number should be much higher 8 weeks post TKR. There must be other circumstances involved. You didn't mention scar tissue. This would form if you were very inactive after your surgery. Scar tissue is serious and, as far as I know, can't be stretched.

I suggest a visit with your surgeon asap. all the best.
