How much potency does the medication Forteo lose after its expiration

Clearly it can't be that it's good the day before expiration, and useless the next day.

But how much potency does it lose with time and how fast?
This is an incredibly expensive and sometime difficult to get important medicine, and if somewhat useful after the expiration date this should be available info so it's not discarded and a patient doesn't lose a possible health benefit by strictly following the expiration date.

Lacking clear information about how long after expiration Forteo still might be both safe and effective, all I can say is it likely depends somewhat on what temperature it's been stored at. Lilly says to store it between 36 to 46 degrees Fahrenheit. Most refrigerators are set about 40. Medicine's life generally goes longer if stored cooler. So if you might hope to use it after official expiration your chances are best if its been stored at the lower end of that range.
