How much did you surgery cost?

Mayo is out of my insurance network. Mayo has been excellent so far with negotiatons with my insurance company. But I would love to know what the surgery for removal of the esophagus / robotic assistance costs. Are we looking at 500,000? 750.000 or more. (And I know each one is different and there is no way to actually know what the final cost. I can't seem to get an estimate online yet...probably my insurance company is taking their time this.) And I am suppose to have a ten day hospital stay as well.

My treatment -- chemo/radiation, surgery, follow-up scans, meds -- came in just short of $1M (not including travel, hotel, meals). Fortunately my insurance -- Medicare and a BC/BS supplemental -- covered it all, with the exception of some drugs (for some reason my insurance didn't cover liquid drugs, which I had to take while I had a feeding tube).
