How do I get treatment for PAD following hip replacement?
I had right hip replaced, Sept 2024. They used screws instead of cement. I am highly allergic to Nickel. Almost died during surgery. My blood vitals plummeted and went to ICU. Now I am slowly losing the ability to walk. I did not have PAD prior to the surgery. Please can anyone address this? Do I have them go back in and remove the 4 extra long screws? I feel helpless.

@pad3 I'm not sure, but it sounds like you are dealing with two separate issues here.
First is the metal allergy, which you might resolve with the surgeon. We are not doctors here, so cannot tell you the likelihood of being able to have the screws removed.
The PAD needs to be evaluated and treated by a vascular specialist. If it is only occurring on the surgical side, it might be related to the trauma of your surgery and allergic reaction. But if it is in both legs, chances are there is another cause that needs to be addressed.
Have you returned to your surgeon or seen a vascular doctor about either of your issues?
Please clarify, PAD meaning?
In medical abbreviations PAD in my understanding is Peripheral Artery Disease.
Not sure how PAD relates to hip surgery, perhaps you will be seeing a vascular expert for this concern?
Best wishes
