Hip Replacement Surgery

I fractured my femur about 2 years ago which was surgically repaired with 3 screws. This trauma apparently accelerated my osteoarthritis and is causing considerable pain. I have had 2 corticosteroid injections, but they only lasted about a month and a half. Hip replacement surgery will also involve removal of the 3 screws. Has anyone gone through this experience? Thanks for any help!
