Hip joint unstable after total replacement.

September 2024 total left hip replacement due to avascular necrosis. Late January 2025 hip dislocated. February had revision surgery, updated hardware to a dual mobility joint. April 2025 instability has returned. I am afraid of repeating dislocation with every step.

@fishscraps Have you talked to the surgeon? Have they done new imaging or done any manipulation to test stability?

No manipulation to test stability, ever. Two week wait to see doctor. Symptoms are identical to what I was experiencing prior to first dislocation. How much range of motion is lost with a constrained liner? I will likely be seeking another opinion regardless of what the doctor says in two weeks. I am 61 years old, 6'-1" and weigh 205 lbs.
