Hi @runda, can you tell me a bit more? You have an ostomy and have recently had a colonscopy. Following the colonoscopy you have mucus that you are unable to pass. Do I have that correct?
To address mucus passage after an ostomy with an intact rectum, consider staying hydrated, discussing diet adjustments, emptying your pouch regularly, trying different positions, gentle abdominal massage, reviewing medications, and consulting your healthcare provider for personalized guidance.
Prior to my surgery I had to deal with a 'vaginal fistula and it was not fun. When I had my surgery they repaired it and now I just have my ostomy bag Do they recommend surgery for you? Hopefully there is something they can do to help you

Any suggestions for when this mucus is going through your vaginal fistula?? I am MISERABLE! The flow is constant and very uncomfortable.
I'm so sorry to read your post. I googled 'vaginal fistula' and it suggests a surgical solution. Is this not a possibility in your case ?
