Good news & question about recurrence in typical lung carcinoid
Hi every one hope ye are all doing good 🥰 ive had typical carcinoid low grand tumor removed in dec 2025 I had to have a bilobectomy 2 lobes removed from my right lung I no most of my mayo friends no this already but I've went to my lung specialist last week he said all good news they got it all lymph nodes tested where all clear it was more on the benign spectrum he said i will get a scan in June and I will have another down the line just asking is this a good thing and if it was typical more on benign side any one with typical carcinod in lung removed had recurrence thank you 🥰

Congratulations on not only a successful surgery, but also your neg. test results. I don't know about the chance of recurrence, but I do know people can live a long time with NETs if you test positive again. Good luck to you.

Good news - however,
Neuroendocrine Cancer is not
benign!
There is a surveillance protocol for typical pulmonary Neuroendocrine Cancer .
