Herniated disk following fusion

I had a TLIF L3, 4 &5 in January. Now I have a herniated disk between L2 & 3. I am beyond disappointed, frustrated, and bordering on hopeless. My surgeon says to try a shot (cortisone I guess?) in the disk.
Suggestions? Other ideas?

Hello @becky12 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I am so sorry to hear this for you. Is there any correlation between the fusion and now the herniated disk per your surgeon or is it another instance?
