Anyone used anything that helps with chemo hair loss?
Has anyone used anything that has been effective for chemo hair loss? Mine is coming back, but slowly. It is patchy and frizzy and right now seems like it will be years before it is presentable.

It took 4-6 months to get hair back don't know any speed up this time either.
@theddie, wow. Breast cancer 33 years ago and then 15 years. In both instances those are incredible dates to celebrate each day. May I ask how old you were at the time of the first diagnosis and what type of breast cancer you had?
Welcome, @bmz. Have you completed treatments?
I have had breast cancer twice. First time 33 years ago, receiving Chemo and Radiation after 2 surgeries, then again 15 years later same area. I received Taxitear Chemo. Then receiving 10 years of Hormone therapy. First time my hair came back thick blond/grey, last time a different story--its very thin, & fine, with bald patches , I keep it very short, can't stand to wear a wig. So just put up with it, am not trying to impress anyone , so except the fact, & am thankful for each and every day that I have
I was 64 when I lost my hair to chemo and it came back great. My salt and pepper hair looked pretty good and I never dyed it again. Now I am 73 and have other health problems. I think my meds are messing with my hair, but maybe it's just my age.
Hello I went to a dermatologist he suggested I try Rogaine two times per day I just started using it nine days ago. Good luck with your hair
Thanks for the comment. I may try Nioxin for a while. I have a wig but most of the time go without anything and when I go to the store I wear a turban.
Wearing a wig did not seem to affect my hair growth. I did use Nioxin for awhile. It may have helped. I used to have beautiful thick blonde hair and now my hair is just terrible hair, so in order to look my best, I will wear the wigs, no problem.
My husband lost his hair that way and left it uncovered and although we never knew if it helped him in any way he said he was more comfortable.
Thanks for your comment. I guess I have a long way to go. I have a wig that I use and turbans. Thanks.
