Heavy Metal Testing Serum vs Hair Sample Analysis
I had a heavy metals test done on my hair sample that indicated high levels of cobalt and zirconium. Is blood serum testing superior to hair sample analysis when determining toxicity? Would blood serum testing provide more actionable results? I have a total hip replacement and other metal in my body. Thank you

@christinestorm98 I am neither a chemist nor a doctor. When I have a question like this, I go directly to my provider. From my quick research, it seems you would be asked to take a blood test, as hair testing for many things is still in its infancy, and is generally considered just an "indicator" for many things right now.
Yesterday a wrote quite a long explanation of the process for determining whether/when there is cause for concern. You can read it here:\

Are you having physical symptoms of problems with any of the metal in your body? Have you talked to your doctor about the test results?
