Health questionnaire
My cousin filled out a health questionnaire two weeks ago, how long is the wait for her to hear back from Mayo? Thank you.

@rjkdrm
It is hard to wait for information about appointments when concerned about your health. Can you share additional information while respecting your cousin's privacy.
Is what they filled out a form requesting an appointment?
Have they talked to an appointment coordinator yet? Shared medical records?
They can always call Central Appointment for the Mayo location they want to visit to ask status: https://www.mayoclinic.org/appointments

3 ReactionsHi. She has only filled out the health questionnaire. No one has called her yet. We were just wondering how long it takes to get a phone call from Mayo about her health questionnaire.
Hi, @rjkdrm - I see you are a relatively new Mayo Clinic Connect member, so welcome. Does your cousin have a liver disease or a possible liver disease? If so, what kind of symptoms has she been experiencing?
I have end stage liver disease and I’m currently on the on call list. I can still have a living donor and my cousin filled out the living donor questionnaire
@rjkdrm - I can absolutely understand why you'd want to know the status of things with the health questionnaire. That is very important. I wish you all the best.
I'd like to introduce you to @rosemarya and @colleenyoung, who will know a lot more about how things work with Mayo Clinic transplants.
In the meantime, @rjkdrm, does your hepatologist know the status of this questionnaire? Do you have other upcoming appointments related to this process?
My hematologist does not know the status of the questionnaire. I go re-eval November the 14th
@rjkdrm Before my transplant my nephew filled out the living donor questionnaire. I believe it was 2 or 3 weeks before he heard anything. I don’t know if that’s typical or not.
I hope it all works out for you.

3 Reactions@rjkdrm, I believe you are referring to the Transplant Living Donor questionnaire. You can find out more information here:
- Living organ donor Health History Questionnaire https://connect.mayoclinic.org/blog/transplant/tab/resource-38/
Once the questionnaire is completed, the donor information will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic Living Donor RN Care Coordinator and will be contacted if you are a potential candidate for donation.
As @cheitmansd mentioned is can take up to 2 or 3 weeks, sometimes longer. If you have questions you can contact Mayo Clinic's Transplant Center https://www.mayoclinic.org/departments-centers/transplant-center/contact-us/occ-20209784

I just want to let you know that I'm thinking about you as you wait for your liver transplant. I had a deceased donor, and the waiting seemed eternal. I hope you are doing okay and that any uncomfortable end stage liver disease symptomes are manageable.
