Head pain that wakes me up

I have hearing loss in one ear now I’m losing my hearing in the other ear. There are times that I get such a pain in my head that I wake up, it can last hours
I’ve seen ENT, had MRI of my head all seems normal. They just keep putting me on steroids. Anyone experience this?

.... could be many thing not ent related and many things do not show up on an MRI - was MRI with contrast injected or not? am wondering if to do with ears or, as a doctor suggested to me, stemming from neck? I hope someone can help on here with comment but for my similar issues I have yet to find a cause/cure... best of luck. J.
