Have you felt worse after taking meds or foods since having Covid?

Posted by 2roses @2roses, Jul 12, 2024

I have had to stop most of my supplements, stop or substitute Rx’s, stop most OTC pain and fever meds and even a couple of foods since having had Covid. I used to be able to take these things without problems, but since have Covid, now they all make me feel much worse. Anyone else?

I can’t hardly take antibiotics either. Heart racing, which makes breathing more difficult and feel really bad. I am sorry for your suffering. ☹️

Hi. @normanchester. Just a cheerleader thought for you that my providers have helped me thru all this- Yesterday was a really hard day knowing what I had to do then add the unexpected like phone calls🙃. Point being “the next day” is another opportunity to pace and choose our actions to have the day and our bodies reactions hopefully go in a much more favorable way! Quickest healing to you🌈

Sorry @norman chester. Got lost in my fog and trying to say appears the antibiotics needed for infection close to your brain and hopefully their short term effects helped with the “next day” 🤞

If I continue to take the antibiotic, while suffering this great pain, will I survive, have you been through this? I'm suffering great pain from the antibiotic, but I need it for gum disease, but it is causing great pain, the EMS came to see me at home, they said nothing electrical was wrong with my heart, thank you, please let me know

Oh @normanchester. Wish we could all be without these things others cant begin to understand. If the EMS have assisted you, Im hopeful this would allow your healthcare system to speak to you immediately for reassurance and helpful pain relieving techniques such as box breathing as your body appears to be reactive to so much as many of us here experience🙃 Dont know your location or circumstances and half way thru the antibiotics for gum disease which can cause so much in our bodies🙃 May I kindly suggest asking pcp for same day urgent referral to pain management for their tailored efforts, based on your medical history of reacting to meds etc. This will enable their more detailed review of your needs with hopeful immediate response and if they are unable/not available, you have info in med records to help the possibly needed next step of urgent care/ER to better see your bodies different/opposite reactions🤞.
