Have hip pain due to carrying heavy object for a month
Carried a 6 ft table a month ago and have hip pain ever since. Never had a problem with my hip before. Thought it would go away but now during water aerobic class when I jump in the water it is painful. Should I see an orthopedist?

smithdiane877, you might see an othropedist, and get an MRI. I'd see a chirpractor. They are usually easy to get in to see (same day or same week), they give a good physical exam and will tell you why your hip is hurting. Then if you want an adjustment, they might be able to fix it right away. You could, maybe should, still see the orthopedist, but you'll probably have to wait.

You might want to see an orthopedic hip specialist for X-ray and possibly ultrasound or MRIs. They may have you do physical therapy and can do cortisone injections for pain relief.
I went through severe hip pain when i overworked it running around in an airport with my suitcase. I'm 83. I screamed involuntarily often.
After seeing a specialist I found out it was arthritis in my back that was making my hip hurt. The pain was radiating to my hip. I eventually got one steroid shot and it's fine now. I had a chiropractor treat me at the time and it made it worse.
