Have Apple Watch, miss my Fitbit display: Do you use watch monitor?

Posted by dareyu @dareyu, 3 days ago

I have Apple Watch but came from using Fitbit versa for years. The versa failed. The problem is that I liked the Versa default display with steps, time of day, and heart rate continuously updated. I must be using the watch wrong because can not get the watch to come up and stay with above display, except by waiting for heart rate to be updated and scrolling through multiple screens. Has anyone solved this because I need to know my heart rate for safety and an effective workout?

You may need to be on Bluetooth or Apple equivalent and have a health app active at the time.

I don't think you can do it by the iWatch itself but you can use an app like Cardiogram or Steps - https://blog.cardiogr.am/how-to-continuously-record-heart-rate-on-your-apple-watch-a01bbc93b6ad.

Im on Fitbit Versa 3 because it’s so basic and easy to use! I feel your pain 😆 I just Googled “Apple health data on watch face” and this is part of the AI summary. You do need the Apple health app and you can customise your watch face either on the app or using settings on your watch face.

Good luck. I’m sure it’ll be great once you get across all the possibilities

I believe you can have your watch display all that you listed. All Apple watch changes are made from the “watch” app that you need on your iPhone. I REALLY enjoy my Apple watch. The stats that I can view from the “activities” app are pretty amazing.

The lack of directions received for so many products is pitiful. But i guess on the bright side, I have to use my brain more to figure this stuff out. If you can find a customer service phone number, generally their customer service is great. Or if you live near a city with an Apple store, you can make an appointment there to go over things. Good luck! I hope you enjoy your watch.

Yes I have both ( don't use fitbit anymore). the Iwatch has several watch faces that will show you your health stats. You have to set it up in your settings or preferences on your iphone using the watch app.
