Has anyone used Mepitel for radiation? Did it help?

I’m about to start radiation therapy and I have incredibly sensitive skin. Has anyone used Mepitel to ease the severity of skin issues? And if so, how was your experience? Did it help?

Hi all! I'm so excited to find this thread. I am on week 2 of 6 for proton therapy radiation and am attempting to use Mepitel. It's going just okay. Here are some things I've experienced:
- Sweating inevitably makes the sheets difficult to stick. It's July in Boston for me and the humidity is a lot. I'm struggling with trying to keep from sweating while wearing the sheets.
- I'm getting my breast, underarm, chest wall, and lymph nodes near my collarbone radiated. The sheets don't stick well to areas with a lot of creases or folds. I don't have all of those areas covered, so I am using creams and aquaphor on the uncovered spots. Would love any tips.. I did not think we could overlap sheets but it sounds like people have?

Yes, you can overlap them. I had spots that needed to be patched throughout my 30 treatments.

I used it. I had 15 doses of radiation and you cannot tell looking at my skin. No burns, rashes or peeling. No changes other than over the months since radiation the skin had tightened a bit. Definitely recommend it. I also bought mine at the Mayo store, so not sure which type it was.

Can you send me a link? I was on the Mepitel website and there are several different types. Mepitel one, mepitel ag, mepitel lite. Which one is it? Thank you!
