Has anyone used implantable PNS for bone on bone knee issues?

Articles I have been reading say PNS works for all kinds of pain, including knee pain but, it does not specify if it helps bone on bone.

While it mentions relief is possible for a myriad of diagnoses and issues, it does not directly mention bone-on-bone knee pain. These devices target the nerves that can cause pain. If the case of structural bone damage, there may not be a direct link to help with pain relief.

Have you discussed this possibility of pain management with your current provider? What sort of other treatments or types of management have you tried with your knee pain? Before my knee replacement in 2006, I was bone-on-bone with significant damage and knee dysmorphia as a result. It is not a fun place to be. How are you currently coping?

Hi,
Doing further self-research I find it won't help with the cartilage issue. My pain doctor (for back issues) will not address knee issues, evidently, he does not feel that injections help. My ortho doctor does not do TKR and due to multi back issues and age, does not recommend it.
I have been getting cortisone injections, every three months in both knees; the first lasted almost three months, the second, maybe two months. The latest in Nov. only lasted a week before pain returned, getting progressively worse in the right knee. Other than Tylenol, my GP started me on low dose oxy to help with my overall body aches and pains. So far it hasn't helped. I have been on five or six meds and PT for back pain, none of which helped.
I cannot stand, walk or lie down without pain.
