Has anyone use Softwave Therapy to remove scarr tissue

Over two years ago I started have problems with my legs.
In time I managed to break scar tissue of my right leg but not my left. X-rays showed I had large amount of scar tissue in left leg. Started physical therapy but has not worked.
The orthopedic surgeon said he could not remove it not treat like a frozen shoulder. I wanted him to put me to sleep and force my leg to bend. I was willing to cope with that pain and go to physical therapy. He refused second option.
Has anyone used Softwave Therapy for a "frozen" leg? Looking for help to break up scar tissue.

I have just started Softwave in an effort to break up scar tissue after a total knee replacement 18 months ago and low function. The ortho suggested a second surgery to remove scar tissue, seems counter-productive and more pain and expense after I worked VERY hard and consistently on PT. The shockwave treatment clearly is moving fluids. It's a ten minute process...so far so good. I sleep with a bit more comfort. I still have 4 more weeks and will have one treatment per week. The body needs time to heel. New blood flow is clearly moving in the area, so the leg is predictably still stiff. I will not know full results for a while yet. I will also suggest a great video series about muscle imbalance and painful knees. Totally free- a former PT and now MD Dr. David from El Paso. Worth a look! Please tell me, HOW DID YOU break up the scar tissue on the first knee?

I’d love to see how it works for you. I have had five treatments so far and the sixth today. But my treatments have been done over a two-week period since I had to fly across the country for them. I haven’t found success yet but I’m an anomaly since mine have been on quick start.

I have read a lot over the internet and am still learning about how the shockwave therapy will work. Because it is getting new blood flow and "waking up cells" it can make you feel more stiff as fluids are moving and hopefully breaking down scar tissue. It is going to be a slow as your body is processing all of that. I do think I feel a little less tension in the joint, but there is no real difference in function of the joint yet. I started with 2x a week, now down to the once a week. How is your knee feeling? Again from what I have read, you can still have more function and healing weeks after the last treatment.

Unfortunately, my pain is where I sit so it has to be done by a doctor or clinic that has the ability to work with pelvic pain. So, I am still in pain and really haven’t noticed a difference because it still hurts to sit. Can you direct me where you read that you can heal weeks after the last treatment. I’ve had 10 surgeries for this (motorcycle accident burned skin off the butt and female area as well as nine fractured pelvic bones. This is my last hope.

I have very limited knowledge, but a thought. I would research as much as possible on laser options as opposed to Softwave (brand name). Softwave is FDA approved and has been used to break up kidney stones that can't be passed. I think maybe in the last 20 years it has been used on JOINTS. Softwave is not soft. It sends sudden sound waves to tissue to sort of wake the area up, breaking up stubborn scar tissue and making better blood flow bringing oxygen and nutrients to the cells, creating healing naturally. It gives quick sharp pain the wave hits the places where the scar tissue is located. I would think laser would do the same deep tissue stimulation in a more gentle fashion.

Yes, if the Gastric Emptiying is negative docs next plan is to check out blood flow. I didn't know why. That's our next discussion. Thank you for the heads up. I get a glimpse of where this is going. I'll research. Ty
