Has anyone had the tumor marker blood test CA15-3 for metastasized breast cancer to bone?
I just started Kisqali pills and the Faslodex injections two weeks ago and my marker doubled in two weeks.
Is that normal, before it starts coming down later in the treatment program?

@mveenhuis1 have you posted on breastcancer.org? Folks on here may answer but that forum has a lot of threads on stage 4.

I have Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and was just told that TUMOR MARKERS are NOT reliable and they fluctuate. I did however have a Signaterra blood test (Liquid Biopsy) and it is far more reliable. This information was given to me at an appointment at MD Anderson Hospital in Texas.

Hello @mveenhuis1 welcome to the club no one really wanted to join. My doctor does not even draw those markers anymore. He says they are not really reliable as they just fluctuate too much. I am not sure if everyone has that much fluctuation or just some folks.
How are you doing on the injections?
