Has anyone had muscle issues after shoulder replacement?
A couple years ago, I had a shoulder replacement. Surgery went well and I went to PT afterwards. I have had a problem with my bicep? muscle since then. It seems to have slipped down my arm and looks like a golf ball. At times while using that arm it will get really hard and painful. Surgeon didn't seem to think that anything could be done about it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi there-
I needed a Bicep Tenodesis-it primarily fixes a torn
biceps tendon or one w/damage or instability. I was fortunate, had a great Dr in Boston, MA. It worked well and could go back to competitive softball and that is my throwing arm. In fact, that's how I hurt the bicep- it does take some force....I realize you had the replacement but it's likely that you may have injured the Bicep in PT or lifting since your surgery....Look for specialized shoulder Dr, 2nd opinion all the way.....Take Care.
