My bike duct is dilated too. In fact, I'm scheduled to go to see Dr. Ross in Seattle at the end of this month. Dr. Ross is internationally known for the EUS and has a large program at Virginia Mason.

This is all new to me. It's all unfamiliar territory for me. I will mention that months ago, I began experiencing issues with my right ear, feeling a throbbing sensation that kept me woke at night. However, it seems to have subsided now. I haven't had any other problems with my ears.
In reply to @cynthia69 I too have dilated bile ducts in my liver and pancreas, confirmed by the ECRP. While there is a surgical procedure that can be done to investigate this condition, it is risky. To that end, I am having an endoscopy done this fall and biopsies will be taken. My hepatologist does not seem to be concerned, so I’m not worried about it. However, I’m told that the dilation of the bile duct can often be related to an autoimmune condition, although I don’t think this is the case for me. Having said that, the condition led to a tremendous weight loss of which I can’t do anything about. Best of luck
I have had 9 ERCP's in the past year and a half due to a recurrent blocked bile duct. The blockages aren't discovered until they get in doing an EUS that turns into an ERCP. I have daily nausea and pain that comes and goes in my upper right abdomen. I've lost 36 pounds since last August without trying. I now have a steel stent that was helping. So far the doctors I've seen don't know why this is happening. I'm trying to get a referral to Mayo. Have any of you experienced something similar?

Laura, thank you for sharing. I have my second EUS appointment scheduled at Virginia Mason in Seattle with Dr. Ross. My local doctor recommended him after an EUS procedure showed no issues. However, CT scans revealed a dilated bile duct in my pancreas. I am praying for your healing and hoping that you can receive treatment at the Mayo Clinic or a specialized hospital. If you don't mind, I'd like to stay in touch to see how you're doing and to share.
Mine is also dilated at 1.1 as seen in a CT scan. The radiologist proposed follow up with an MRCP. My GI doc thinks it is due to having my gallbladder removed 11 years ago so did not order further testing. However I do have bile reflux and take Colesevelam 2x a day. I try to sleep with head elevated. I also have chronic pancreatitis so often am nauseous and have abdominal pain. It’s so hard to get to the root cause of health issues. Recently I did genetic testing for pancreatitis and told I’m a carrier of the cystic fibrosis gene and likely have atypical or non classic cystic fibrosis. More genetic testing will be done. Someone mentioned rapid unintentional weight loss which I also have experienced and am in the underweight category now. I have tried 2x to get into Mayo in the last couple of years but sadly turned down both times. Best of luck to you in your journey for answers.
Hi Cynthia, yes, my bile duct has been very dilated several times. Are you getting an endoscopic ultrasound or an ERCP?

ERCP with and without contrast.
Does the bile duct affect your ears?

Thank you for your reply. I am 76 and my bile duct was .7 when I was 60 and is 1.1 now so I am hoping it is just old age.
